About Bri
I’m a multidisciplinary artist, writer, editor, filmmaker, creative director, educator, surfer, and founder of Sea Together.
My work moves between art, surf culture, storytelling, editorial, film, community, and place. I work with people, brands, and creative projects to develop ideas, shape stories, build meaningful experiences, and bring creative work into the world.
With a background in contemporary art and social practice, I’m interested in the ways people connect—with each other, with place, and with the ocean.
I grew up between Hawaiʻi and California and have lived across the Pacific Northwest. These places continue to shape how I see, make, and tell stories.
Today, my practice spans creative direction, consulting, writing, film, art, and education.
My multidisciplinary practice began through undergraduate studies spanning psychology, conceptual and performance art, jewelry, watercolor, and drawing. I later earned an MFA in Contemporary Art: Art + Social Practice from Portland State University, where my work deepened into facilitation, community engagement, creative project design, and leadership.
I’ve also spent the past five years teaching university-level art courses as an adjunct professor.
I bring all of these experiences into the way I work: looking at ideas from different angles, making unexpected connections, and finding thoughtful ways forward.

I bring experience across creative entrepreneurship, media, surfing, community building, writing, and art. For surf and ocean related projects, I bring more than a decade of experience working in surf culture and 20 years of surf experience.
Film + Directing
Stories told through film, words, and visual storytelling.I’m a writer, storyteller, and director working across documentary, Super 8, surf, and intimate visual storytelling.
I’m drawn to human, honest, and place-based stories—stories about people, relationships, community, and our connection to place.
I work with projects from early story development through the finished film.
